System Update: Strengthening Security with New Password Encryption

We’re always working behind the scenes to enhance the security and performance of our platform, and as part of our upcoming system migration to a new, more robust server, we’ve introduced an important update to how your passwords are encrypted and stored.

In the past, we used an older method to store your encrypted passwords. While it has served us well, technology evolves, and we’ve now fully transitioned to a more modern, secure, and efficient encryption system. To ensure your account benefits from these improvements, we need you to take action.

What Do You Need to Do?

All you need to do is update or re-save your password.  Updating your password is easy, and you don’t even have to choose a new one if you don’t want to! Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Log into your PPM account with your existing password
  2. Click on your company name at the top right, and click “Change Password”
  3. Either create a new password or simply resave your current one by entering it again
  4. Hit Save – and you’re done!

By following these steps, your password will be stored using our new, more secure encryption system.

NOTE: Only users who have not changed their passwords in quite some time are impacted by this.  We are reaching out privately to users who must take immediate action.  If you aren’t sure if you are impacted by the changes, you can re-save your password to be certain your account is in good standing, but it is likely that no action is required for you if you have not been contacted by our support team.

Why Is This Important?

This update makes your account more secure and efficient. Resaving your password ensures it is encrypted with the latest security technology, keeping your information safer and aligning with industry best practices.

While this process only takes a few moments, it’s essential you complete it as soon as possible. If you don’t, you may be prevented from logging into your account when we complete our migration to the new server.
